How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Engineering Project Manager

    Salary - Up to £80,000 + 10% bonus

    Location - London (with occasional travel), Hybrid Working 2x a Week.

    Our client, a well-established FMCG manufacturer, is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to take full ownership of capital projects, delivering them from initial concept through to operational handover while driving efficiency and innovation across the business.

    Key Responsibilities

    Take full lifecycle ownership of engineering projects, ensuring smooth delivery from feasibility through to final implementation
    Develop clear project frameworks, including scope definition, cost control, scheduling, and risk mitigation
    Lead the rollout of new production equipment, factory upgrades, and automated solutions within operational sites
    Champion process improvements by identifying opportunities to increase output, streamline workflows, and enhance performance
    Oversee third-party contractors and suppliers on-site, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and delivery expectations
    Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure projects align with operational needs and business priorities
    Contribute to capital investment planning and review project outcomes to support continuous improvementKey Requirements

    Demonstrated success delivering complex engineering or CAPEX projects within FMCG or a comparable manufacturing environment
    Strong technical understanding of production systems and automation technologies (such as PLCs, SCADA, or similar controls)
    Experience managing projects across all phases, including design, installation, and performance optimisation
    Practical, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
    Proven ability to manage external vendors and contractors, including commercial and contractual oversight
    Familiarity with working in regulated environments, with a solid grasp of health & safety and compliance standards
