About the Role
As a KS1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum. You will create a positive classroom environment where pupils feel confident, supported, and inspired to develop their skills and curiosity for learning.
Working alongside teaching assistants and colleagues, you will support pupils’ academic progress as well as their social and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and delivering creative and engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum
Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Monitoring, assessing, and recording pupil progress
Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners
Supporting pupils’ confidence, independence, and participation in learning
Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff
Communicating effectively with parents and carers
Contributing to the wider life of the school community
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching within Key Stage 1
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
A nurturing and engaging teaching style
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
A genuine passion for supporting young learners
