How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Reception Teaching Assistant (1:1 SEN Support)
    Location: Haringey, London, UK
    Salary: £16–£17 per hour
    Job Type: Part-Time, Temporary (25 hours per week, Term Time Only)
    Working Hours: 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM or 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM
    Start Date: April 2025 (until end of academic year)
    Key Stage: EYFS (Reception)

    Salary dependent on experience and qualifications. Higher rates are reserved for candidates with substantial experience and/or relevant training. Pay is in line with Agency Worker Regulations (AWR), where applicable.

    About the Role

    We are seeking a compassionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Reception pupil with additional learning needs following medical treatment.

    You will support a lovely and enthusiastic young pupil who enjoys being at school but requires consistent, nurturing support throughout the day. The role involves working closely with the child at all times, supporting their learning, emotional regulation, and overall safety, including managing occasional seizures (full training provided by the school).

    This is a highly rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, caring, and confident supporting pupils with complex needs in an early years setting.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day

    • Support learning, engagement, and development in the Reception classroom

    • Assist with emotional regulation and impulse control

    • Respond appropriately to the pupil’s medical and developmental needs (training provided)

    • Build a strong, trusting relationship with the child

    • Work closely with teaching staff and SEN professionals
