How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    QA Engineer

    Ampthill

    Paying up to £45,000 (DOE)

    Please note - due to the nature of the role you all applicants need to hold or be eligible to obtain a high level of UK security clearance

    Key Responsibilities

    Work across multiple projects being the point of contact for quality issues.
    Manage non-conformances through the process, including facilitating RCCA
    Documentation reviews and approvals
    Attending design reviews
    Input to bids and proposals for quality

    Essential Skills & Experience

    Proven ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.
    Confidence in engaging with stakeholders at all levels, from the shop floor to senior management, across a variety of technical and non-technical backgrounds.
    Strong decision-making capability, with a willingness to take ownership and accountability for resolving issues through to completion.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex information.
    High level of proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    Experience with SAP Quality module is desirable but not essential.
    Demonstrable experience in conducting root cause analysis and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions is essential.
    Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g. ISO standards) would be advantageous
