How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A growing residential consultancy is seeking a commercially focused Project Quantity Surveyor to join their London team. The Project Quantity Surveyor will deliver professional quantity surveying services across high-end residential developments, supporting the financial management of projects from inception to completion. This Quantity Surveyor role will involve managing key quantity surveying duties including cost planning, procurement and post-contract administration. The Project Quantity Surveyor will work closely with clients and project teams, ensuring effective quantity surveying control and consistent commercial performance across multiple schemes.

    The successful Project Quantity Surveyor will be joining a specialist consultancy delivering residential projects across London and the South East. The business operates with a collaborative team structure and maintains strong relationships with private clients and developers.

    The Role
    As the Project Quantity Surveyor you will take responsibility for managing projects through all commercial stages under the guidance of senior leadership.

    The role will include:

    Preparing detailed cost plans, budgets and feasibility studies
    Managing tender documentation and contract preparation
    Advising on procurement strategies
    Monitoring valuations, variations and change control
    Undertaking risk and value management
    Overseeing interim payments and contributing to final accounts
    Producing financial reports and client updatesThe Project Quantity Surveyor?
    You will be commercially aware, client-facing and confident managing residential projects within a consultancy environment.

    The Project Quantity Surveyor must have:

    A degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
    Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within consultancy or residential construction
    Strong understanding of building contracts
    Experience delivering projects through the full lifecycle
    Good communication and negotiation skills
    MRICS Chartered status desirable or working towardsIn return……?
