Management Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hands-on Management Accountant to join a growing and dynamic business. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this role offers excellent exposure across the full finance function, along with the chance to support key projects and drive process improvements. This is a 12 month maternity cover. You must be immediately available, or on a short notice to be considered for the role.

This is a well-rounded role suited to someone who enjoys both management accounts and operational finance, and is keen to take ownership while supporting junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting & Analysis
- Preparation of month-end close and production of monthly management accounts
- Deliver insightful cost and profitability analysis across projects and business areas
- Produce quarterly returns
- Monthly reporting on consignment stock and key customer accounts
- Provide meaningful reporting to senior stakeholders including Directors
- Full responsibility for AP/AR oversight and supplier/customer account management
- Preparation of accruals and prepayments
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Credit card reconciliation and posting

About you:
Part-qualified or qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or QBE)
Strong experience in month-end and management accounts
Confident working across both reporting and transactional finance
Comfortable managing workloads and supporting junior staff
Experience with SAGE or similar systems is highly desirable
Proactive, hands-on, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
