The Opportunity:
Are you an experienced HR generalist who thrives in a fast‑paced, operational environment and enjoys shaping HR delivery from the ground up?
This is a newly created position designed to provide dedicated HR support to a stakeholder group of around 100 managers and employees. You’ll join a close‑knit, collaborative HR team and play a pivotal role in embedding strong people practices across a growing part of the business.
Your work will span both operational and strategic HR, from hands‑on ER casework to supporting organisational design, workforce planning and project delivery. No two days will look the same - and that’s exactly what makes this role exciting.
HR Business Partner Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Partnering: Providing end‑to‑end HR support across operational and support functions, acting as a trusted advisor.
Employee Relations: Leading complex ER cases including disciplinaries, grievances, restructures and redundancies.
Change & Growth Support: Supporting teams through organisational change, new site set‑ups and periods of rapid expansion.
Manager Coaching: Guiding and upskilling managers to make confident, compliant people decisions.
Data & Reporting: Using HR systems and Excel to analyse data, support forecasting and produce meaningful reporting.
Strategic Contribution: Balancing day‑to‑day operational delivery with longer‑term people initiatives and HR projects.
Ideal HR Business Partner:
CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent practical experience.
HR Generalist Expertise: Delivering end‑to‑end HR support across operational teams in a fast‑paced, reactive environment.
Complex ER Management: Leading investigations, restructures and redundancy processes with confidence and accuracy.
Operational Growth Support: Partnering with managers to build, embed and scale new teams within the overhaul facility.
Data & Systems Capability: Using HR systems and Excel to analyse workforce data, forecast headcount and support decision‑making.
Adaptability: Navigating shifting priorities and responding quickly to emerging operational needs.
Manager Coaching: Guiding and upskilling managers with varying levels of experience in people processes.
Collaborative Autonomy: Working independently while maintaining strong communication within a close‑knit HR team.
Calm Problem‑Solving: Remaining pragmatic and solutions‑focused when handling pressure or ambiguity.
Location: Greater Manchester (Multi-site/Hybrid)
HR Business Partner Salary: Up to £58,000 depending on experience.
