I am looking for flexible Cover Supervisors to support a secondary school in the Oldbury area, ensuring continuity of learning when teaching staff are absent.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young people, can think on their feet, and are happy covering a range of subjects across the school day.
About You
We are looking for reliable and proactive Cover Supervisors who can confidently step into the classroom and maintain a positive, focused learning environment.
You will be expected to deliver pre-set work, manage behaviour effectively, and adapt to different subjects and year groups at short notice.
The ideal cover supervisor will be calm under pressure, approachable, and flexible in their approach.
Strong classroom presence, clear communication, and good organisation are essential.
Experience working with secondary-aged students is essential and an understanding of trauma-informed or pastoral approaches would be an advantage.
The Right Cover Supervisor Will:
Be confident supervising whole classes in a secondary school setting
Be flexible and happy to cover a variety of subjects and year groups
Have experience working with young people (Within a UK Secondary School or equivalent)
Be able to follow lesson plans and ensure students remain on task
Demonstrate strong behaviour management and communication skills
Be reliable, adaptable, and professional at all times
