TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school based in Chesterfield. The school has a strong and supportive English department, with a collaborative ethos and a focus on maintaining high standards of teaching and learning across all year groups.
The school is looking to take on a full-time English Teacher on a long-term basis until the end of the academic year. The successful English Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4, including full planning and marking responsibilities, while maintaining strong classroom management and supporting pupil progress.
The successful English Teacher will have:
• QTS with an English specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching English up to Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Experience with full planning and marking responsibilities
• Strong classroom management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A proactive and ‘can-do’ attitude
