Salary: £13 per hour
Hours: 19 hours per week, Thursday – Friday (06:45 – 16:30) plus every other Saturday.

As a Weighbridge Operative at FCC Environment, you will play a key role in supporting the safe and efficient operation of the site. You’ll be responsible for operating the weighbridge, managing waste documentation, and providing a professional and helpful service to customers and drivers, while ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
This vacancy is for a part-time position, working two days per week plus every other Saturday.

What will you be doing?
- Operating the weighbridge system, booking vehicles in and out of the site
- Maintaining accurate records in line with Duty of Care and waste management requirements
- Ensuring waste transfer notes remain in date and are correctly archived
- Inducting visiting drivers and keeping appropriate records
- Providing a courteous, helpful and efficient service to customers, drivers and subcontractors
- Keeping the weighbridge office and surrounding area clean and tidy
- Logging and managing soil samples where required
- Working safely at all times and reporting accidents, near misses or unsafe conditions
- Supporting the Site Supervisor and wider site team with day-to-day operations
- Carrying out any other reasonable duties as required, including supporting other sites if needed
