How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Role – Assistant Landscape Architect

    Location – Oxfordshire

    Salary - £30 - £35K

    A well-established and growing landscape architecture consultancy in Oxfordshire is looking to appoint an Assistant Landscape Architect following a sustained period of new project wins. The studio has built a strong and varied portfolio, offering exposure to projects from early concept stages through to detailed design and construction. This creates a well-rounded role for someone looking to broaden their experience rather than being limited to one stage of delivery.

    The office is well located with good access via road and public transport links, making it a realistic commute from Oxford and surrounding areas. They operate a hybrid approach, with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office to support collaboration and team working.

    This position would suit an Assistant Landscape Architect with around 2 years’ experience who is looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and hands-on environment.

    THE ROLE

    The successful Assistant Landscape Architect will be joining a close-knit and collaborative team, working across a range of projects and supporting both the design and technical delivery process.

    The role will involve contributing to design development, preparing drawings and presentation material, and assisting with the production of technical packages. You will also have the opportunity to gain exposure to later project stages, helping to build a well-rounded skill set.

    Given the nature of the workload, they are keen to speak to people who are comfortable taking ownership of tasks and contributing from an early stage, while still benefiting from guidance and mentorship within the team.

    ASSISTANT LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT KEY REQUIREMENTS

    * Degree in Landscape Architecture

    * Minimum 2 years professional experience in a UK-based role

    * Strong technical ability in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite

    * Experience contributing across multiple project stages

    * Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    * Based within commuting distance of the office and able to attend at least 3 days per week

    * Full right to work in the UK

    * Experience with Revit and or ArcGIS

    * Working towards P2C

    ON OFFER

    * Salary in the region of £30,000 to £35,000

    * Health insurance including gym discounts and additional benefits

    * Structured mentoring and support through the P2C process

    * Exposure to projects from concept through to construction

    * Friendly and welcoming studio environment

    This is a solid opportunity for a Landscape Architect looking to step into a supportive team, develop technically, and work across a genuinely varied portfolio while progressing towards chartership.
