How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor – High-End Residential & Luxury Refurbishment

    Location: Reading / Berkshire

    Salary: £60,000 – £75,000 + Package (DOE)

    The Opportunity

I am looking for a solid Quantity Surveyor for a key client covering Reading and the wider Berkshire area. This isn't volume build; it’s high-spec refurbishments and structural remodels for High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs) on projects up to £5m.

If you know the luxury market and how to handle the specific demands of private clients, this is a top role with a great firm that has a massive pipeline of work in the region.

    The Role

You’ll be taking the lead on the commercial side of bespoke, high-value projects. We need someone who is commercially sharp and understands the level of detail required for residential work.

    Key Responsibilities:

    *

End-to-end commercial management of luxury estates and period property refurbs.

    *

Managing high-spec subcontractor packages (bespoke finishes, automation, etc.).

    *

Accurate cost reporting and variations management.

    *

Acting as a key point of contact for HNWIs and prestigious architectural firms.

    The Essentials

    *

Projects: High-end refurbs & luxury estates (up to £5m).

    *

Location: Must be able to cover sites across Reading / Berkshire.

    *

Experience: Essential background in high-end resi / private client work.

    *

Skillset: Strong negotiator with a keen eye for architectural detail and bespoke construction.

    The Package

    *

Salary: £60k – £75k (negotiable based on your track record).

    *

Benefits: Full package including car allowance, pension, and healthcare.

    *

Workload: A stable, high-quality pipeline of local projects.

    How to Apply

If you’re a QS who understands the luxury market and you're looking for a move into a prestigious firm, let’s talk
