How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    MULTI-SKILLED MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL BIAS)

    Job Title – Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)
    Location – Evenwood, County Durham
    Salary – £45,510
    Shift – Rotating Days & Nights (4-day weeks on late shifts)

    Job Role of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

    A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business within the metal and construction sector. This is a hands-on role suited to an engineer who enjoys working on a wide variety of machinery and being a key part of a close-knit maintenance team.

    Working within a fast-paced production environment, you will be responsible for carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across a range of conventional and automated machinery. This includes working on lathes, milling machines, rolling mills, press brakes, and CNC punching equipment.

    This role offers great long-term stability with the opportunity to progress into supervisory roles as the business continues to grow.

    Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

    Electrical Engineering Qualification 
    Factory, maintenance, manufacturing or forces background 

    Desirable Requirements for the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

    Experience within a lean manufacturing environment
    Experience working at height
    Ability to carry out basic fabrication or bench fitting work
    Experience with facilities maintenance and general site repairs
