Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking reliable and motivated Kitchen Assistants to work within school environments. The role involves supporting the catering team in delivering high-quality meals while maintaining excellent hygiene and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist with basic food preparation and meal service

* Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes and equipment

* Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times

* Support cooks and catering staff during busy service periods

* Ensure proper storage and handling of food items

* Adhere to allergen awareness and food safety guidelines

* Maintain a safe and tidy working environment

Requirements:

* Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) on the Update Service (essential)
or willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS through our agency

* Valid Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

* Valid Food Allergens (or willingness to obtain)

* Valid Safeguarding Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

* Previous kitchen or catering experience is desirable

* Good communication skills and a positive attitude

* Reliability and punctuality
