How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Project: £500k+, modular build cadet units in Whitley Bay
    Location: Regional
    Job Type: Temporary

    What We're Looking For

    Relevant Qualifications:

    SMSTS
    CSCS Card
    First AidExperience:

    Proven experience managing modular construction projects
    Strong background operating as a Site Manager
    Experience managing fast paced, short duration projects
    Demonstrable health & safety leadership on live construction sites
    Experience working with subcontractors and direct labour
    Ability to manage multiple site locations over time where requiredAbout the Company

    Our client is a well established modular construction specialist delivering high quality projects across the UK. With a growing pipeline of work and increasing demand, they are expanding their site management team to support a site in Whitley Bay.

    The Opportunity

    We are recruiting for a experienced Site Manager to take full responsibility for a modular construction project. You will be responsible for the day to day management of site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to a high-quality standard. Projects are modular in nature, with durations typically ranging from one to three months, with further opportunities to move between sites.

    Key Responsibilities

    Full day to day management of site operations
    Managing subcontractors and coordinating all site activities
    Leading a safety first culture on site
    Preparing, reviewing and implementing RAMS
    Conducting site inductions
    Completing health & safety assessments and inspections
    Maintaining a clean, safe and organised site environment
    Ensuring quality standards are met across all works
    Managing and addressing H&S breaches promptly and effectively
    Chairing progress meetings and liaising with stakeholders
    Reporting progress and issues to senior management
    Supporting multiple projects over time as workload demands
