How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    KS1 Teacher - Primary School (September 2026)

    Location: Liverpool
    Start Date: September 2026
    Contract Type: Temporary - Full Time
    Duration: Full Academic Year
    Pay: £140-£240 per day (dependent on experience)
    Spencer Clarke Group are working with a welcoming primary school in Liverpool who are seeking a dedicated KS1 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026 for the full academic year.
    This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to begin or continue their teaching journey within a supportive school environment. The role involves taking full responsibility for a class and delivering high-quality teaching across Key Stage 1.

    The Role:

    Take on full responsibility for a KS1 class.
    Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
    Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching where required.
    Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
    Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff.
    Participate in meetings, planning and wider school responsibilities.

    Requirements:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
    Suitable for both experienced teachers and ECTs.
    Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum, including phonics.
    Good classroom management and communication skills.
    A proactive and enthusiastic approach to teaching.

    Application Requirements

    Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history and explain any gaps. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.
    All pay rates include 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position with potential for permanent opportunities.
