How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Unqualified Teaching Assistant - Primary SEMH Provision - Eccles (M30 Area)

    Pay & Start Date

    £109.85 - £120 per day (depending on experience)
    Start date: ASAPWe are seeking a dedicated and resilient Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Primary SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision in the Eccles (M30) area.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs. Previous experience working with children is desirable; however, transferable skills are also warmly accepted (e.g. care work, youth work, coaching, support roles).

    About the School
    The school is a nurturing and inclusive primary SEMH setting that supports children who may present with social, emotional, and behavioural needs. Many pupils have experienced barriers to learning and require a highly structured, patient, and supportive environment to help them succeed.

    The school focuses on building trust, emotional regulation, confidence, and positive relationships. Staff work closely as a team to provide consistent support, ensuring pupils feel safe, understood, and able to engage positively in their learning. The environment is calm, structured, and highly supportive, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding and wellbeing.

    Responsibilities

    Supporting pupils with SEMH needs in the classroom and during activities
    Assisting the class teacher in delivering structured and engaging lessons
    Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs
    Helping pupils regulate emotions and manage behaviour positively
    Encouraging engagement, confidence, and social development
    Supporting classroom routines, structure, and organisation
    Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pupils at all timesRequirements

    Experience working with children OR transferable skills (care, support work, youth work, coaching)
    Calm, patient, and consistent approach
    Strong communication and teamwork skills
    Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children
