How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Unqualified Teaching Assistant - SEND Support (Primary Schools)

    Location: Liverpool
    Start Date: ASAP
    Contract Type: Temporary (Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available)
    Pay: £109 per day
    Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting Unqualified Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs within mainstream primary schools across Liverpool.
    These roles involve working closely with children who require consistent and structured support due to SEND, physical needs, medical needs and behavioural challenges. We are therefore looking for individuals who already have experience supporting children or young people with additional needs in a relevant setting.
    Suitable experience may come from care environments, children's residential settings, youth work, medical roles, or specialist education, where supporting behaviour, emotional needs and safeguarding are a key part of the role.

    The Role:

    Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
    Support children with behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement.
    Assist with physical or medical needs where required.
    Work closely with teachers to adapt learning and maintain classroom structure.
    Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and developing independence.
    Consistency is key, so building strong, trusting relationships with pupils is essential.

    Essential Experience:

    Applicants must have experience supporting children or young people with:

    SEND or additional learning needs
    Behavioural or emotional needs
    Physical or medical needs
    Care, residential or similar support backgrounds
    Applications without relevant SEND/support experience will not be shortlisted.

    Application Requirements

    All applications are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, reference checks and Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
    Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history and explain any gaps. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.
    All pay rates include 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position with potential for permanent opportunities.
