The Opportunity
We’re looking for a driven and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our clientin Bedford. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of evening picking operations and play a key role in delivering efficiency, accuracy, and team performance.
The Role
Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will lead and oversee the picking team during the night shift, ensuring all orders are processed accurately and on time. You’ll be responsible for maintaining productivity standards, motivating your team, and ensuring a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Warehouse Operatives
* Assign, monitor, and prioritise daily picking tasks
* Ensure all orders are picked accurately and within deadlines
* Hold regular team briefings to communicate targets, updates, and expectations
* Drive productivity and performance across the shift
* Promote and enforce health & safety policies and procedures
* Conduct regular safety checks and resolve any hazards promptly
* Support continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse
About You
* Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory role (ideally within picking operations)
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Excellent organisational and communication abilities
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* A proactive and hands-on approach
* Good understanding of warehouse health & safety practices
