How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Associate Director - Cambridge - £90,000-£95,000

    A leading and growing construction consultancy is seeking an Associate Director to lead their Cambridge office. This is an excellent opportunity for an Associate Director to take a senior leadership position within a respected consultancy delivering high-quality residential, commercial and life sciences schemes across the region. The incoming Associate Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the Cambridge office, making this role ideal for an ambitious Associate Director ready to influence both project delivery and business growth.

    The successful Associate Director will work closely with senior leadership, managing key client relationships and overseeing multiple commissions. This associate Director position offers strategic input, team leadership and a clear pathway to further progression. As an associate Director, you will be instrumental in driving performance, mentoring surveyors and expanding the consultancy's regional footprint.

    * Providing strategic advice to clients and stakeholders as an associate Director
    * Supporting business development and contributing to company growth
    * Leading and mentoring a team of Quantity Surveyors

    The Associate Director?
    * Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
    * Extensive UK experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or associate Director
    * Strong working knowledge of JCT contracts and commercial management
    * MRICS Chartered (or equivalent) essential
    * Proven leadership and client-facing experience as an associate Director
    * Excellent communication and organisational skills
