How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our OEM Client based in Gaydon, is searching for a Thermal CAE Engineer to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a contract position with a proposed end date of 31st March 2027.

    Umbrella Pay Rate: £33.64 per hour.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Develop, integrate, and maintain 1D CAE models within a full vehicle environment.
    Conduct vehicle-level simulations and detailed analyses of thermal, physical, and control systems.
    Prepare and deliver high-quality technical presentations explaining complex vehicle behaviours and efficiency metrics to a range of stakeholders.
    Lead issue resolution activities and drive continuous improvements in modelling processes and methods.
    Manage multiple stakeholders to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery of simulation outputs.
    Innovate and develop new processes, tools, and methodologies to meet evolving business requirements.
    Essential Skills and Experience Required:

    Proven experience with 1D simulation toolsets and/or model integration platforms (e.g., GT‑Suite, Amesim, Simulink, Synopsys Silver).
    Strong capability in visualising, interpreting, and communicating virtual analysis results, including understanding the limitations of virtual development methods.
    Experience working with thermal systems, ideally within the automotive domain.
    Broad understanding of complete vehicle systems and the ability to interpret complex interactions affecting vehicle energy flow and efficiency.
    Desirable Skills Requested:

    Experience applying Agile methodologies.
    Proficiency with Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, and Excel.
    Strong understanding of control system architectures and associated deployment risks.
    Experience in data science, reduced‑order modelling, or data engineering.
    Knowledge of low‑voltage automotive electrical systems.
    Education Required:

    Degree-level qualification in Engineering or a related discipline
