How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    What you’ll be doing:

Working as part of a high-performing engineering team, this Shift Engineer / Technician role will play a key part in maximising uptime across manufacturing, facilities, and laboratory equipment. This is a varied, hands-on position where no two days are the same, combining reactive maintenance, preventative activities, and continuous improvement.

    Key responsibilities include:

    * Supporting instrumentation calibration and maintaining validated specifications

    * Diagnosing faults and implementing effective corrective actions

    * Working alongside contractors on specialist maintenance activities

    * Supporting commissioning of new equipment and processes

    * Contributing to continuous improvement and optimisation of maintenance strategies

    * Ensuring all work is completed in line with safety, quality and compliance standards

    What we’re looking for:

    * Apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in an engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation etc.)

    * Experience in a maintenance role within a regulated or manufacturing environment

    * Understanding of preventative maintenance and calibration activities

    * Strong fault-finding skills and a proactive approach

    * Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

    Why join?

    * Stable, growing global organisation with continued investment

    * Strong team culture and collaborative engineering function

    * Clear opportunity to develop technically and professionally

    * Excellent benefits package and regular pay reviews

    * Modern, well-equipped site environment

If you have an engineering qualification and excellent fault finding skills, we’d love to hear from you. There is also genuine opportunity to progress into areas such as controls engineering as you develop within the business
