How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

With a long-standing history and a strong global presence, the business has maintained a significant UK manufacturing footprint, offering a stable and secure working environment. The company prides itself on developing its people, with clear progression opportunities and a strong track record of promoting from within.

    The Role:

This is a hands-on Manufacturing Engineering role, supporting both day-to-day production and longer-term strategic projects.

You will play a key role in improving manufacturing processes, resolving technical issues on the shopfloor, and supporting the transfer of production into the UK. In addition, you will work closely with commercial teams to assess the feasibility and profitability of new projects before they are brought into production.

    Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Supporting production teams with technical issues affecting quality and output
Carrying out root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
Improving manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, yield, and consistency
Supporting the transfer of manufacturing processes from overseas into the UK
    Creating and maintaining:

    Routings
    SOPs and work instructions
    Engineering documentation and BOMs

    Assessing new project opportunities:

    Manufacturing feasibility
    Cost and profitability
    Capacity and resource planning

Liaising with shopfloor, quality, and commercial teams
Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site
    What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in a Manufacturing Engineer role
    Engineering qualification (HNC or above)
Strong hands-on understanding of manufacturing processes
Experience working closely with production teams
Confident communicator, able to work cross-functionally
    Desirable:

Experience with ceramics, advanced materials, or similar
Knowledge of brazing, metallising, or batch manufacturing
    Lean / continuous improvement experience
Exposure to manufacturing transfers or NPI
    The Benefits:

    Salary up to £50,000 + 10% bonus
25 days holiday + bank holidays
    Company pension
    Annual salary reviews
Strong job security within a well-established business
Clear progression path towards Engineering Manager
Opportunity to be involved in major site investment and growth projects
Flexible working (primarily site-based with some flexibility)
    How to Apply:

If you are a Manufacturing Engineer looking for a role with real impact and long-term progression, we’d love to hear from you.
