How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Product Engineer – Operations Support
    Tewkesbury | Hybrid Working
I’m currently supporting a well-established aerospace engineering organisation in Tewkesbury with the appointment of a Product Engineer to join their operations support team. This is a key role within a specialist production cell, where you will act as the primary engineering contact for a range of precision assemblies. The position offers a strong balance of hands-on production support, technical problem solving, and continuous improvement activity.
    The Role
You will take ownership of engineering support for specific products within the production environment, working closely with both operations and test teams to ensure performance, quality, and delivery targets are achieved. Your responsibilities will include:
    * Acting as the technical focal point for designated assemblies within the production cell
    * Analysing production and test data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
    * Supporting product and process changes to enhance performance and manufacturability
    * Leading structured investigations into production and product issues, identifying root cause and implementing corrective actions
    * Collaborating with test and equipment teams to diagnose issues across mechanical, hydraulic, electronic, and software systems
    * Supporting the disposition of non-conforming components, including GD&T-related assessments
    * Driving improvements in yield, process capability, and overall production performance
    * Contributing to tooling and fixture concepts to support assembly and testing
    * Supporting ongoing initiatives around automation and digital manufacturing
    Candidate Profile
This role is well suited to an engineer with a strong manufacturing background and a practical, problem-solving mindset.
    * Degree-qualified in a relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent experience)
    * Approximately 5+ years’ experience within a manufacturing, production, or quality engineering environment
    * Strong mechanical engineering knowledge, with exposure to hydraulic systems
    * Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow documentation
    * Familiarity with validation, verification, and performance testing methodologies
    * Understanding of precision manufacturing and assembly processes (experience with laser welding or brazing would be advantageous)
    * Confident communicator, able to engage effectively across engineering and operational teams
    * Well organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    Package & Benefits
    * Flexible working hours (flexi-time system)
    * Competitive benefits package including private medical cover and pension
    * Strong focus on employee development and progression
    * Stable, well-invested engineering environment
