How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Title: Senior Product Engineer – NPI & Manufacturing (Aerospace)
    Location: Gloucestershire
    Working Pattern: Hybrid
    Salary: £55,000 - £65,000
    Overview:
    Work on flight-critical aerospace hardware where failure isn’t an option — and where you’re trusted to solve the problems that matter. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for an engineer with strong hydraulics experience who wants to take responsibility for complex production challenges, not just escalate them.
    Key Responsibilities:
    * Take ownership of complex production and test failures from initial issue through to root cause and resolution
    * Act as the technical authority for mechanical and hydraulic system issues
    * Support New Product Introduction (NPI) as products transition into production
    * Drive improvements in reliability, manufacturability, and process capability
    * Investigate in-service and returned hardware to identify systemic failures
    * Develop and refine assembly and test processes, tooling, and methods
    * Work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams
    Requirements:
    * Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
    * Strong mechanical engineering background with hands-on hydraulics experience (essential)
    * Experience in product engineering, manufacturing, or production environments
    * Proven ability to solve complex, real-world engineering problems
    * Experience supporting NPI or full product lifecycle activities
    * Ability to take ownership and drive issues through to resolution
    Benefits:
    * Competitive salary + benefits (details available on application)
    * 33 days annual leave including bank holidays
    * Enhanced pension
    * Private medical and wellbeing support
    * Employee share scheme
    * Hybrid working
    * Clear long-term career progression
    Additional Information:
    This role offers a high level of technical ownership within a complex, high-integrity aerospace environment. It is well suited to engineers who enjoy hands-on problem-solving and working across the full product
