How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electronics Engineer - Medical Imaging Technology

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electronics Engineer to join a medical devices company in Cambridge.

    The company is experiencing solid growth and are looking for an Electronics Engineer to come on board and work on highly complex electronics and systems for state-of-the-art medical imaging devices. This role would be perfect for someone who has recently completed their PhD or a post-doc and is looking to move into industry.

    Your main responsibilities will be the end-to-end development of novel ideas and solutions for medical imaging technology. This will include coming up with new ideas, building experiments, translating data, and iterating design, all the way up to readying the device for manufacturing. This will be a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists that you will be joining, and the company offer an environment that champions innovation, as well as great mentoring, and the freedom to make the role your own.

    The company have ambitious targets for their new devices and are looking for people with a passion for medical imaging technologies to become an integral part of the team.

    To be considered for this role you will need to have strong fundamentals across electronics and systems engineering, mixed with experience in medical imaging and ideally educated to PhD level.
