How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Quantity Surveyor
    East Anglia (Norwich – Tilbury corridor)
    Up to £70,000 plus Car/Car Allowance

    Are you a commercially driven Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to take the lead on major infrastructure projects across East Anglia?

    A leading contractor is looking for a well-rounded QS professional to play a key role in delivering high-value infrastructure schemes, offering the opportunity to influence commercial performance, build strong client relationships, and support the next generation of talent.

    What You’ll Be Doing
    Leading commercial activities across the full project lifecycle—from procurement through to final account
    Managing subcontract packages, tender processes, and contract administration
    Driving cost control, forecasting, and detailed financial reporting
    Maximising cash flow through accurate valuations and timely invoicing
    Monitoring project performance to meet and exceed financial targets
    Identifying and managing risks, opportunities, and change control processes
    Ensuring contractual compliance and maintaining accurate commercial records
    Supporting sustainability and carbon reduction initiatives
    Mentoring and developing junior commercial team members

    What We’re Looking For
    Proven experience in commercial management within construction or infrastructure
    Strong knowledge of NEC contracts, procurement, and financial reporting
    Experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors
    Strong background in infrastructure projects
    Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
    Ability to lead, influence, and develop a team
    Well-rounded QS experience across the project lifecycle
