How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Care Worker – Domiciliary Care
    Location: Coulsdon

    Salary & Benefits

    * £14.00 per hour (including travel minimum)

    * £15.50 per hour on weekends

    * 45p per mile mileage paid

    * Bank Holidays paid at time and a half

    * Christmas paid at double time

    * 0-hour contract initially

    * Guaranteed hours available after successful probation (based on reliability)

    Overview
    We are looking for compassionate and reliable Care Workers to join a growing domiciliary care team in Coulsdon. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and wants to make a real difference in people’s lives every day.

    You will be supporting elderly service users, including those living with dementia and Parkinson’s, helping them to remain independent in their own homes. This role is ideal for someone who is caring, personable, and enjoys building meaningful relationships with clients.

    Responsibilities

    * Deliver high-quality domiciliary care to service users in their own homes

    * Support with personal care, daily routines, and companionship

    * Follow care plans and ensure person-centred support

    * Build positive relationships with service users and their families

    * Travel between calls within the local area

    * Provide a friendly, engaging and supportive presence

    Working Hours

    * Morning shifts: 7:00am – 11:00am

    * Evening shifts: 3:30pm – 7:00pm

    * Flexible working available

    * Open to full-time, part-time, and weekend availability

    Requirements

    * Minimum 1 year experience in domiciliary care or care home setting

    * Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (driver only)

    * Right to work in the UK (unfourtunately no sponsorship available)

    * Female candidates preferred for this role

    * A positive, chatty and bubbly personality

    * Willingness to go above and beyond for service users

    Compliance & Onboarding

    * Two references required (1 professional, 1 character)

    * DBS required (candidate pays upfront, reimbursed after 3-month probation)

    Additional Information

    * Visit lengths typically range from 30 minutes to 1 hour

    * Opportunity to secure guaranteed hours after probation based on performance
