Design Engineer

Expleo are working with a major Automotive Manufacturer in Essex, who are looking to recruit a Design Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. Your responsibilities will include coordinating and supporting Studio Engineering feasibility and the design process to deliver the theme, while working with Engineering to align and challenge technical inputs.

Responsibilities of the Design Engineer -

Provide studio engineering support by evaluating design feasibility and delivering CAD engineering solutions.
Support benchmarking for technical solutions for the project.
Lead CAD design and development of complex components and assemblies.
Coordinate technical communication with Design and cross‑functional teams.
Ensure feasibility and correct dimensioning of CAD data.
Contribute to continuous improvement of CAD timing and quality.
Support documentation and archiving of CAD data.
Prepare product presentations based on developed CAD.
Manage storing, releasing, updating, and securing data in TeamCenter per global processes.

Requirements for the Design Engineer -

Bachelor's degree in industrial design, transportation design, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive exterior or interior Studio Engineering within design.
Ideally proficient in the use of Teamcenter and CATIA.
Curious, innovative, and collaborative mindset with a strong design aesthetic understanding.
