How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you an electrician with panel wiring experience who is now looking for a workshop based role. If you are, we have great opportunity with an electrical company based in Braintree. This is a hands-on, workshop-based role ideal for someone who enjoys building quality panels and takes pride in neat, accurate work.
    Job Description
    As a Panel Wireperson, you’ll be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing low-voltage electrical distribution panels, working from engineering drawings and specifications. You’ll be part of a supportive team working to high safety and quality standards.
    Key Duties
    * Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, GA drawings, and BOMs
    * Assembling and wiring LV distribution panels, control panels, and sub-assemblies
    * Cutting, stripping, crimping, labelling, and terminating cables
    * Installing trunking, cable looms, terminals, busbars, breakers, contactors, relays, meters, and sockets
    * Carrying out basic electrical testing (continuity, insulation resistance, and functional testing)
    * Identifying and reporting drawing errors, missing components, or build issues
    * Working to production schedules and deadlines
    * Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop
    Requirements
    * Proven experience as a Panel Wireperson, Electrical Fitter, or LV Panel Builder
    * Experience working with low-voltage (400VAC) distribution panels
    * Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics
    * Good attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship
    * NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
    * Knowledge of BS EN 61439, BS 7671, and switchgear up to 630A is desirable
