Carpenter Multi Trader

Boden Group are currently recruiting on behalf of a longstanding client looking for a multi-skilled Carpenter to join a Disrepair & Litigation team covering the Birmingham area. This role is ideal for someone whose main trade is carpentry but who also has experience across other trades such as plastering, plumbing, tiling, or painting and decorating.

This is a temporary position running until the end of June, with standard hours of 8:00am to 4:30pm.

The role involves travelling across South Birmingham, with a work vehicle and fuel card provided.

Hourly rate: £20–£23, depending on experience.

The Project

You’ll be working on a major social housing programme delivering repairs, maintenance, and improvement works across thousands of residential properties, including a mix of low-rise and high-rise buildings.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out a variety of repair and maintenance tasks to a high standard

* Take responsibility for completing jobs efficiently, aiming to resolve issues on the first visit

* Work within set timeframes and budgets

* Follow all health and safety procedures at all times

* Keep your skills and knowledge up to date with current regulations and best practices

* Work independently while maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach

Requirements

Essential:

* Proven experience in carpentry

* Additional trade skills (e.g. plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating)

* Full UK driving licence (no more than 5 penalty points)

Desirable:

* Previous experience working within social housing
