How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Job Title: Electrical Engineer – Data Centre (Frankfurt)

    Role

You’ll be joining a leading European engineering contractor delivering a large-scale data centre project in Frankfurt, with a secured pipeline of work for the next 12+ months.

This is a delivery-focused role where you’ll be working on a live build, supporting the installation, coordination, and commissioning of critical electrical infrastructure. You’ll play a key role on-site, working closely with subcontractors and project teams to ensure systems are delivered to spec, on time, and to the highest standards.

This role offers strong exposure to hyperscale-level projects, long-term project stability, and the opportunity to develop within a contractor with a growing footprint across Europe’s data centre market.

    Responsibilities:
Oversee and support installation of electrical systems across the data centre.
Work across MV/LV distribution, UPS systems, generators, busbar systems, and earthing & bonding.
Coordinate subcontractors and ensure works are delivered in line with design and specifications.
Review electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
Identify design clashes or gaps and raise RFIs to drive resolution.
Support pre-commissioning, energisation, and commissioning phases (L3–L5 interface).
Ensure compliance with project specifications, HSE standards (LOTO, RAMS), and local regulations.
Coordinate across disciplines including mechanical and controls teams.
Support QA processes and handover documentation.
Resolve on-site technical issues in real-time within a fast-paced construction environment.

    Skills / Must Have:
Strong knowledge of MV/LV electrical distribution systems.
Experience with UPS systems, generators, switchgear, transformers, and busbar systems.
Understanding of earthing & bonding principles and redundancy models (N, N+1, 2N).
Experience working in construction, data centre, or mission-critical environments.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
Experience with installation oversight, subcontractor coordination, and site delivery.
Familiarity with commissioning processes (FAT, SAT, IST) and energisation procedures.
Knowledge of LOTO, RAMS, and electrical safety standards.
Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure project environments.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to evolving or imperfect designs.

    Benefits:
12+ month secured data centre project in Frankfurt.
    Exposure to large-scale, hyperscale-level builds.
Opportunity to work with a well-established contractor in the European data centre market.
Strong pipeline of future projects beyond initial assignment.
High level of responsibility and technical exposure on-site.
