How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are pleased to be working in partnership with a warm and welcoming family-run care provider in their search for a dedicated and inspirational Registered Manager to lead their medium sized elderly and dementia care home in Accrington, Lancashire.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced residential care professional looking to take the next step in their career, with genuine scope for progression within a growing organisation. You will be supported by an engaged senior leadership team while having the autonomy to lead, develop, and enhance the service - truly putting your own stamp on the home.

    Our client is seeking a confident and compassionate leader who can maintain high standards of care and compliance, while also driving occupancy and strengthening the home's reputation within the local community. You will play a key role in increasing enquiries, building relationships with stakeholders, and ensuring the home operates at optimal occupancy levels.

    Key Skills

    Proven experience managing a residential care home
    NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
    Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance standards
    Track record of increasing occupancy and managing referrals effectively
    Passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care
    Effective leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
    Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and occupancy
