The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Grounds Maintenance Operative based in Crawley. This is a full time role working Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 4.30pm.

The pay rate is £14.24 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay).

You will work across a mix of industrial, commercial, and private estates, maintaining outdoor spaces to a consistently high standard.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, is reliable, and can deliver quality across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out general grounds maintenance across a range of sites
Complete grass cutting, edging, and lawn care to a good standard
Undertake hedge cutting and trimming
Carry out pruning of shrubs and small trees
Weed beds, borders, and hard landscaped areas
Maintain tidy, well-presented sites at all times
Carry out litter picking and general site upkeep
Support seasonal planting where required
Use tools and machinery safely and correctly
Work efficiently to complete daily schedules Requirements

Previous grounds maintenance or gardening experience preferred
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
Good understanding of safe working practices
Ability to work to a consistent standard across multiple sites Skills and Qualities
