How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Critical Enviornment Facility Support Engineer

    Location: Newport, Wales – Onsite role
    Employment Type: Inside IR35 Agency Contract

    Pay: 20-30 pounds per hour

    Work Environment:

    This role requires a flexible work schedule, which could include 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts, and 3-, 4-, or 5-day work weeks, with core business hours between 7 AM and 7 PM, Monday through Friday.

    Role Overview

    We are seeking a CE Facility Support Engineer to perform maintenance and operational tasks for electrical and mechanical systems within a critical data centre environment. This role involves ensuring equipment performance, adhering to safety protocols, and supporting the electrical infrastructure of the facility. The position requires a flexible work schedule, which may include various shift patterns.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Provide escort support for third-party contractors and vendors on site.

    * Perform basic monitoring and initial assessments on the performance of equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems.

    * Take daily operational readings of all electrical equipment through routine rounds.

    * Assist in providing emergency monitoring and response to abnormal conditions, utilizing emergency operating procedures (EOPs).

    * Execute preventative maintenance on Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, system control panels, and batteries.

    * Support electrical infrastructure throughout the data centre campus.

    * Assist in the troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of instrument sensors.

    * Adhere to all safety procedures and comply with physical security policies.

    Required Qualifications

    Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.

    Experience: A minimum of five years of work or applied learning experience in technical fields such as automotive, electrical, controls, or data centres is required. Previous data centre experience is mandatory, as is experience with electrical systems in a high-availability critical infrastructure environment.

    Technical Skills: A basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) and a fundamental understanding of the National Electrical Code are required. Experience with building management systems (EPMS) is also necessary
