How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Skilled Careers are currently recruiting for Traffic Marshall in Malvern WR14 starting ASAP for 2 weeks of work on a housing site.

    £17 per hr

    Traffic Marshall Requirements:

    Must hold a valid CSCS Card

    Traffic Marshall Ticket

    Must be able to provide references from previous employers

    Valid ID/Passport

    Overview

    We are seeking a vigilant and professional Traffic Marshall to oversee the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians within our site. This role is essential for maintaining safety standards, managing traffic flow, and ensuring smooth operations across the premises. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and safety. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a busy construction or industrial environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

    Duties

    Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic to minimise congestion and prevent accidents

    Manage access points, verifying authorised entry and exit of personnel and vehicles

    Maintain clear signage and signals to guide traffic effectively

    Assist with site maintenance tasks related to traffic flow, such as setting up barriers or cones

    Conduct routine inspections of the traffic management area to identify potential hazards

    Communicate effectively with drivers, site personnel, and visitors to ensure smooth operations

    Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly to the relevant authorities

    Support in managing site logistics, including vehicle parking arrangements

    Skills

    Strong management abilities to coordinate traffic movements efficiently

    Excellent communication skills for liaising with drivers, staff, and visitors

    Basic maintenance knowledge to assist with site equipment or signage upkeep

    Valid driving licence is desirable for operating site vehicles or lorries when required

    Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond swiftly in emergency situations

    Organised approach to managing multiple tasks simultaneously

    Awareness of health and safety regulations relevant to traffic management environments
