How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Machinist to join a unique, exciting company in St. Albans. The successful candidate will be working in an ever changing, fast-paced environment, repairing company equipment on a frequent basis.

    Description

    Working on CNC machines (3-axis) - repair if it goes down
    Reading schematics to support with repairs
    Supporting with the upkeep & repair of bespoke company equipment
    Opportunity to strip equipment down & re-build parts - Mechanical
    Fabricate new parts
    Working in a small team of Engineers - including Design & Drawing/Electronics
    Bringing own ideas to the team to improve engineering outputMon - Fri - 08:00-17:00 - 40 hr week

    Profile

    You will ideally be an experienced CNC Programmer/Machinist, however, my client are open to experience levels, as well as:

    A recognised Engineering qualification
    Proficiency in CNC machinery
    Knowledge of safety and quality standards in the industry.
    Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    Experience working collaboratively within a team environment.
    A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.Job Offer
