How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Title: Technical Coordinator – Aluminium Doors & Windows
    Location: Blaydon (Tyne & Wear)
    Employment Type: Full-time / Permanent

    About the Role
    We are seeking a capable and detail-oriented Technical Coordinator to support our Project Manager in delivering aluminium doors and windows projects. This is a varied role combining office-based design work with regular site visits and client interaction.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of aluminium systems, be comfortable using computers and design software, and possess practical site knowledge.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Support the Project Manager in the coordination and delivery of aluminium doors and windows projects

    * Prepare and review technical drawings and specifications

    * Use CAD software to assist with design and detailing (training can be provided if needed)

    * Attend site visits to assess progress, take measurements, and resolve technical queries

    * Liaise with clients, suppliers, and installation teams

    * Ensure designs are practical, compliant, and aligned with site conditions

    * Assist with problem-solving and technical support throughout the project lifecycle

    Requirements

    * Experience working with aluminium doors and windows systems

    * Good computer skills, with some exposure to CAD (preferred but not essential)

    * Understanding of construction/site processes and installation methods

    * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

    * Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with customers on-site

    * Organised, proactive, and able to work as part of a team

    Desirable

    * Experience in a similar technical, design, or site-based role

    * Familiarity with relevant building regulations and standards

    * Full UK driving licence
