How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Staff Match are recruiting for a hands-on Third In Charge to join a friendly nursery in Tooting, Greater London. If you have good team building skills and a passion for early years and excellent knowledge of EYFS curriculum, we want to hear from you.  

    Person Specification:

    NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent

    Experience of leading and motivating teams

    Knowledge of EYFS Curriculum

    Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)

    Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)

    Minimum 1-year experience in a similar role

    Some of the Third In Charge  responsibilities will include:

    To work alongside the  Nursery and Deputy Manager and maintain a safe a high standard of practice in accordance with the nurseries principles, policies and procedures.
    To deploy staff effectively to ensure the required standards are maintained
    To ensure all staff understand and comply with all nursery policy and procedures
    To lead the team and support in EYFS planning and ensure children’s development records are maintained
    To carry our regular staff supervisions and coordinate staff meetings
    To support the Deputy Manager in developing a staff team that delivers quality care and education to young children
    To promote diversity and equal opportunity
    To work in partnership with parents forming caring and trusting relationships
    To ensure professionalism and confidentiality at all times
