How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We're recruiting a Senior Business Analyst to join an established, multidisciplinary digital team delivering complex, user‑focused services at a national scale.

    This role is suited to an experienced Business Analyst who enjoys working across multiple digital products, leading analysis from early discovery through to delivery, and setting direction for business analysis practice within a wider organisation.

    The Role:

    You'll work across a varied digital portfolio, supporting teams to understand problems, explore options and deliver clear, evidence based solutions. Alongside hands-on delivery, you'll provide leadership to other analysts, embedding high-quality agile analysis and supporting professional development.

    You'll collaborate closely with product, delivery, design and engineering colleagues, helping teams manage scope, prioritisation and outcomes while identifying risks and dependencies early.
    Key Responsibilities:

    Lead business analysis across complex digital projects and programmes through discovery, alpha and delivery phases
    Set and improve standards for business analysis, ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery
    Coach and mentor Business Analysts within the team
    Facilitate workshops, interviews and collaborative sessions to understand business and user needs
    Translate complex business and technical requirements into clear user stories and deliverables
    Identify impacts of change, risks and dependencies, supporting informed decision-making
    Support teams with prioritisation, MVP definition and outcomes measurement
    Define metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented improvements
    Work with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver digital products and services
    Produce clear documentation, briefings and recommendations for stakeholdersSkills, Knowledge & Experience:

    Significant experience as a Business Analyst within software or digital delivery environments
    Strong practical experience of Agile methodologies and product‑led delivery
    Proven ability to analyse, visualise and communicate complex problems clearly
    Experience translating business needs into user stories and/or technical specifications
    Confident stakeholder engagement and influence at varying levels of seniority
    Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
    Experience working with external delivery partners or suppliers
    A collaborative approach and commitment to inclusive, user‑centred servicesWhat's on Offer:

    Salary in the region of £50k-£52k
