How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Quality Engineer

    West Yorkshire

    £30,000 - £35,000 base salary + 28 days holiday, 4% matched pension

    We are supporting a multinational special purpose machinery manufacturer with a substantial presence in West Yorkshire. Established over 20 years’ ago, the business is trusted by major global manufacturers to provide specialised machinery.

    With a strong focus on investing in its people, this business supports the next generation of engineers through apprenticeships, ongoing training and multi-skilling opportunities.

    They are now looking to recruit a Quality Engineer with immediate effect.

    The Role

    The role of Quality Engineer will be the first in the expansion of the quality department. Supporting the Quality Manager, you will be involved in all areas of quality and compliance for a manufacturing business. The Quality Engineer will:

    Ensure supplier and manufacturing quality and compliance
    Be involved in continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, audit readiness, and developing the integrated management system
    Investigate non-conformance, ensuring corrective and preventative measures
    Conduct 8D investigations and 5 Why root cause analysis
    Support with audits and create quality reports
    The Candidate

    To be successful in your application for this Quality Engineer role you will need:

    Experience in ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 audits
    Experience using SAP
    Familiarity conducting internal and supplier audits
    Demonstratable experience with 8D, 5 Why, and Pareto analysis
    A right first time mindset with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
