How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on a diverse range of projects, developing your skills and knowledge in a supportive, structured environment from day one.

    What you'll be doing

You will be supporting senior surveyors and project managers on live construction projects, assisting with cost planning, estimating, and procurement activities. You'll help manage subcontractor accounts and valuations, support project delivery from inception through to completion, and assist with monitoring project programmes, costs, and progress reporting. The role will also involve liaising with site teams, clients, and subcontractors as required.

    What we're looking for

You will hold a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Project Management, or a closely related discipline, and have a genuine passion for the construction industry with a desire to build a long-term career. Strong numerical and analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are essential. You should be self-motivated, eager to learn, and comfortable working as part of a team. Any relevant placement or work experience in construction is advantageous but not essential.

    What's on offer
