About the Role:
We are seeking reliable, confident, and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in the Croydon area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience, whether you're considering a career in teaching or seeking flexible work in education.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain on task with pre-set work and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise whole classes during teacher absences
Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Ensure a safe and productive learning environment
Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviourRequirements:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Confidence managing groups of young people (ages 11-16)
A proactive and flexible attitude
Previous experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)
A degree or relevant qualification (preferred)
Eligibility to work in the UK
