We are working with an established business within the wastewater industry to recruit a Technical Sales Administrator to support their bids, proposals, and sales function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and customer service skills who is interested in developing technical knowledge within a specialist engineering sector.
The role
This role supports the sales and bids team by assisting with quotations, managing customer enquiries, and providing basic technical information on products and solutions. You will work closely with internal teams and engineers to ensure customers receive accurate, timely, and professional support.
Full training will be provided on the company’s products and systems, making this an ideal opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in technical sales support.
Key responsibilities
* Support customers and engineers in identifying suitable equipment based on requirements
* Assist the sales team in preparing quotations and responding to customer requests
* Handle incoming customer enquiries and provide initial technical guidance
* Assist in resolving customer product and service issues to support satisfaction
* Support negotiation processes by providing administrative and technical input
* Monitor shared sales enquiry inboxes and route requests appropriately
* Gather information required to prepare accurate quotations and proposals
* Maintain and update service and maintenance agreement records
* Support marketing activity by helping source content for social media updates
* Distribute customer feedback forms and assist with follow-up on responses
About you
Essential:
* Strong communication skills with the ability to explain information clearly
* Organised and able to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
* Interest in technical products and willingness to learn wastewater systems
* Experience in a sales support, customer service, or administrative role
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Desirable:
* Experience with potable water booster systems or domestic wastewater products
* Previous exposure to wastewater or engineering environments
* Knowledge of Salesforce CRM (training can be provided)
