How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Field Service Engineer (Full Training Provided)

    North-West England

    £30,000 - £33,000 (OTE £40-50K) + Bonus + Van + Overtime + Pension + Holiday

    Are you a Mechanical Engineer from any industry sector looking for a company that will provide full training so you can develop your career?

    On offer is the chance to work on technically challenging mechanical products in a field-based role that pays door to door with plenty of opportunity to maximise earnings with overtime.

    This company are a leading provider of complete fluid handling solutions from service, maintenance, commissioning and calibration. They work with all associated equipment involving pneumatic, hydraulic, measurement and control systems.

    In this role you will receive full product training so anyone with a mechanical background will be considered from any industry. You will learn to service, maintain and calibrate all equipment. This is a national service role so travel will be required between jobs, they pay door to door so you will be fully compensated with overtime above 40 hours a week.

    The Person

    *Mechanical engineering experience

    *Any background considered

    *Based along the M62 corridor OR Lancashire OR West Yorkshire

    The Role

    *Service and maintenance of fluid handling equipment

    *Overtime paid at 1.5x the basic rate of pay

    *40 hours a week, Monday to Friday

    *Stay away on average twice a month

    *Door to door pay

    *Company bonus paid every 6 months
