How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Field Service Coffee Engineer

    Location: Southampton and surrounding areas (South Coast region)

    Salary: £34,000 - £38,000 + Company Vehicle + Pension + Private Healthcare

    About the Role

    This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing companies in the coffee industry. Due to continued expansion, we are looking for a Field Service Engineer to support customers across Southampton and the surrounding areas.

    This role is ideal for a highly motivated, well-presented individual with strong technical ability and a passion for delivering excellent customer service. You will play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction by maintaining high standards in coffee quality and equipment performance.

    Key Responsibilities

    Install, service, and maintain high-end automatic coffee machines across customer and distributor sites

    Provide professional installation and deliver training to distributors and end users

    Respond to service and reactive call-outs efficiently and professionally

    Diagnose faults and carry out repairs and preventative maintenance

    Ensure all equipment is set up to agreed specifications for consistent coffee quality

    Work closely with the central office team to provide updates and ensure excellent communication with customers

    Follow all health & safety procedures, including conducting on-site risk assessments

    Complete job sheets, time sheets, and supporting documentation accurately before leaving site

    Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicle in good working order

    Manage and maintain spare parts stock, ensuring accurate tracking and replenishment

    Requirements

    Full UK driving licence

    Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge (essential)

    Experience with hot and cold drinks equipment and coffee quality standards

    Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills

    Confident, customer-focused individual with a professional approach

    Computer literate

    Self-motivated with a flexible approach to work, travel, and hours
