How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Salary: £30,000–£32,000 (Depending on Experience )
    Full‑time, Permanent
Frankphil Childcare Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Early Years Setting Manager to lead our 40‑place pre‑school and out‑of‑school club based in Romford, Havering. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong leader with a passion for early childhood education, safeguarding, and high‑quality practice. We are looking for someone who can confidently manage a team, uphold excellent standards, and create a warm, inclusive environment where children thrive.
Our setting operates from a well‑established church hall and provides early education for children aged 2–4, alongside wraparound care for children up to 11. We are committed to delivering a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment that supports every child’s learning, development, and wellbeing. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a manager who can lead with confidence, professionalism, and a child‑centred approach.
    About the Role

You will ensure the setting meets all Ofsted requirements, maintains strong safeguarding practice, and delivers a high‑quality curriculum in line with the EYFS. This role requires excellent leadership, organisational skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, staff, and the wider community.
You will oversee staff supervision, training, rotas, planning, assessments, and quality improvement. You will also ensure that policies, procedures, and documentation are up to date and compliant. This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to someone who is proactive, confident, and committed to delivering excellence in early years education.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Lead the daily operations of the pre‑school and out‑of‑school club
    • Ensure full compliance with the EYFS, Ofsted standards, and safeguarding requirements.
    • Manage staff performance, training, supervision, and team development
    • Oversee planning, observations, assessments, and curriculum delivery
    • Maintain accurate records, policies, and health & safety procedures
    • Build strong relationships with children, families, and the local community
    • Support recruitment, enrolment, and parent communication
    • Drive continuous improvement and high‑quality practice across the setting
    • Ensure the environment is safe, inclusive, and engaging for all children
    Requirements
    • Level 5 Early Years qualification (or working towards) preferred
    • Level 3 qualification (minimum) with strong leadership experience
    • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding
    • Previous experience as a Manager or Deputy Manager in an early years setting
    • Strong communication, organisational, and team‑leadership skills
    • Ability to motivate staff and maintain a positive working culture
    • Confident in Ofsted preparation and inspection readiness
    • Passionate about delivering high‑quality childcare and education
    What We Offer
    • Competitive salary: £30,000–£32,000
    • Supportive leadership and a positive, community‑focused working environment
    • Opportunities for ongoing training and professional development
    • A role where your leadership directly shapes the quality and success of the setting
    • The chance to make a meaningful impact in a growing early years provision
    How to Apply
If you are a dedicated early years professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for high‑quality childcare, we would love to hear from you.
