How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A well‑established qualitative research consultancy is seeking an enthusiastic Qualitative Researcher Executive to join their growing team. Known for uncovering deep human insights and helping brands understand real people in real contexts, the organisation delivers thoughtful, rigorous research across sectors. From ethnographic studies and behavioural research to customer journey exploration, their work combines curiosity, observation, and strategic thinking to bring human stories to life.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an inquisitive graduate who thrives on understanding people and is eager to learn the craft of qualitative research. The successful candidate will support research delivery across a variety of projects and play a key role in shaping early insights that inform client strategy.

    Salary: Competitive

    Hours: Working hours Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm

    Location: Hybrid working (4 days on site) in the Mansfield office

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Supporting the planning and logistics of qualitative fieldwork, including participant recruitment and session preparation

    Assisting with on‑site observation, note‑taking, and capturing real‑world behavioural insights

    Preparing research materials, including stimulus and discussion guides

    Helping organise, code, and analyse research outputs to identify emerging themes

    Supporting video editing, clip selection, and visual stimulus creation

    Contributing to early‑stage insight development and project debrief preparation

    Gaining exposure to a wide variety of qualitative methods such as ethnography, behavioural research, customer journey studies, and traditional depth interviews

    Required Skills and Experience:

    A degree in a human‑focused or curiosity‑driven discipline such as anthropology, sociology, psychology, geography, journalism, service design, or behavioural science (other interesting degrees also welcomed)

    A natural curiosity about people and how they behave, think, and make decisions

    Strong observational skills and comfort working in real‑world environments

    An interest in developing research craft skills, including analysis and storytelling

    Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team

    A proactive, open‑minded approach and enthusiasm for learning qualitative methods
