Deputy Responsible Person

Walker Cole International is partnering with a global pharmaceutical organisation to appoint a Deputy Responsible Person (Deputy RP) to support their Irish Responsible Person (RP) function and strengthen the company’s distribution compliance activities in Ireland and across Europe. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with RP teams in Ireland and the EU, contributing to the maintenance of robust GDP standards across multiple markets. This role is open to both individuals currently acting as Deputy Responsible Persons and those with strong GDP experience who are looking to step into a Deputy RP position, with clear training and development opportunities provided.

As a Deputy Responsible Person, you will be responsible for:

* Supporting the RP in day-to-day GDP activities, ensuring wholesale distribution operations remain compliant with the company’s WDA requirements as authorised by the relevant regulatory authority.

* Assisting with documentation management, deviations, change controls, CAPAs, and ongoing maintenance of the Quality Management System.

* Conducting supplier and customer qualification checks, reviewing compliance documentation, and supporting ongoing qualification activities across Ireland and Europe.

* Collaborating with wider quality teams to align processes, prepare for regulatory inspections, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

To be successful as a Deputy Responsible Person, you will have:

* Previous experience working within a GDP-regulated pharmaceutical environment, with or without prior Deputy RP experience.

* Strong understanding of EU GDP requirements and confidence working within an established Quality Management System.

* Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across Irish and European teams.

* A proactive, detail-oriented approach with the ability to prioritise tasks and support compliance activities in a fast-paced environment.
