How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Primary Teacher – Full Time | Supportive Faith School | September Start

    Location: Southampton area (easily accessible from Waterside and surrounding Hampshire areas)
    Type of School: Primary (Church of England)
    Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 per annum.
    Full time role: Monday to Friday
    Start Date: September 2026

    We are currently recruiting for a Primary Teacher (EYFS / KS1 / KS2) to join a welcoming and values driven Church of England primary school.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for a Teacher who is passionate about delivering high quality teaching, nurturing the whole child, and supporting pupils to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

    The school has a strong community ethos and is looking for a Teacher who shares a commitment to inclusion, high expectations, and developing confident, independent learners.

    The Role:

    Plan and deliver engaging, structured lessons in line with the Primary National Curriculum
    Create a positive, inclusive and organised classroom environment
    Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform teaching
    Provide clear feedback to support pupils in taking ownership of their learning
    Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND
    Promote pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development
    Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents and carers
     Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school
    Additional Responsibilities (for experienced teachers):

    Lead a core subject or foundation subject area
    Support whole school improvement priorities
    Contribute to curriculum development and staff support
    TLR opportunities may be available for candidates with leadership experience or ambition.

    Requirements:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
    Experience teaching in EYFS, KS1 or KS2 (ECTs welcome to apply)
    Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum and assessment practices
    Evidence of high quality classroom practice and pupil progress
    Commitment to inclusive education and high expectations for all learners
    Strong communication and teamwork skills
    Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
    Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    A passion for developing the whole child, not just academic outcomes
    A positive, enthusiastic and resilient approach
    Ability to build strong, supportive relationships across the school community
    Interest in contributing to the values and ethos of a faith based school
    Experience with phonics programmes (e.g. Little Wandle) or mastery approaches (desirable)
